But as usual, times change, and now with the demise of the Saturn –boo to Bernie Stolar– and the success of the PlayStation, I was able to test out Namco’s Tekken 3, and let me tell you, I am very impressed with what I’ve seen. For instance, I found Tekken 1 to be pretty ugly, and even though Tekken 2 was a vast improvement (and a good game in its own right), I was more at home with both Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers. The Tekken series already has a strong following on the PlayStation, but being a Saturn owner in the past, I had my own opinions about it. That miracle just came true, and it’s name…TEKKEN 3! It was getting to the point that I vowed that I would never buy a PlayStation, and only a miracle would change my mind. Sure, there were some definite exceptions, but those tended not to be the norm. For the two and a half years the system was out, I felt that most of the games that were released were nothing but 3D eye candy. I want to start this review by saying that I wasn’t really a big fan of the Sony PlayStation.
